IRL Guides / Your next release

How to create one link for Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. One page. Their choice.

Your fans choose where to listen. You share one URL. Here’s how to build a clear music smart link, test it on your phone, and understand what happens after the click.

One release. Multiple platforms. One link.

To combine Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube into one link, create a music landing page, add your release’s URL for each service, and share that page’s address. This is commonly called a music smart link.

Imagine posting a Reel featuring your song’s chorus. If you only share a Spotify link, an Apple Music listener will need to search for the song elsewhere. A page with the available listening options lets them choose their destination.

Direct link

Useful when the destination is specific: for example, sending someone to your YouTube video.

Music smart link

Useful when you’re promoting the same release to people who use different listening platforms.

You don’t need to replace every link. Choose based on the promise in your content: if you say “watch the video,” the destination should make that easy.

Before you open the editor

Gather the exact release title, your artist name, square cover artwork, and public links to the same song on the services where it is already available.

  • Spotify: open the song, select the three-dot menu, then Share → Copy Link. Spotify explains the steps here.
  • Apple Music: find the same version of your release and copy its public link using the sharing option.
  • YouTube: open the video you want to promote and copy its URL using Share. Check that it plays without signing in to your account.

Check the version, not just the title. A remix, live performance and original recording may have similar names. Every button should lead to the content your artwork promises.

If you don’t have a URL for a platform yet, don’t invent one or add a different song to fill the space. Add that destination when it becomes available.

How to create your smart link in IRL Pages

Sign in and open Create New. The editor has four stages: choose a template, add content, customize, then preview and publish.

01 / TemplateChoose a design that puts the music first

Select a template available on your plan. Prioritize recognizable artwork, a readable title and easy-to-find buttons. An eye-catching background should not compete with your release name.

02 / ContentAdd your release and its destinations

You can try AutoFill with a supported music link to import the details it finds. Review the result: don’t assume it has found every platform or the correct version. If the import fails or is incomplete, fill in the fields manually.

Confirm the artwork, title and artist. Add or check the Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube URLs in their corresponding fields. For music that is already out, use the available-release mode rather than a countdown.

03 / CustomizationDesign for the screen your fans will use

Open the mobile preview. Keep enough contrast between text and background, and avoid putting a long biography before the listening buttons. Preserve your artwork’s square proportions. Available controls and designs depend on your plan.

Think about someone arriving from Instagram: can they recognize the release and find their platform without having to figure out the page?

04 / PublishingPublish and copy the landing page URL

Check the preview, publish when you’re ready, and copy the public URL. That is the link to share, not the address of your editor or dashboard. Publishing a landing page does not distribute your song to Spotify or Apple Music. Your music needs to be available there separately.

The test to run on your phone

Before spending money on ads or changing your bio, open the published page while signed out of IRL Pages. Then open it from the app where you plan to share it.

  • The artwork, title and artist name match your release.
  • A long title does not cover the buttons or overflow the screen.
  • The Spotify button opens the correct song, not another artist.
  • Apple Music leads to the right version of the release.
  • YouTube opens the expected video, not a private or deleted page.
  • The page remains readable on the mobile connection you normally use.
  • The URL you share is public and works without your administrator session.

A destination may open its app or its website depending on the device, browser and installed apps. Test the actual journey rather than promising that a specific app will always open.

Give people a clear next step

Instead of posting a bare link, add a specific invitation: “My new song is out. Listen on your favorite platform here.” Use it in your bio, a Story with a link, or a message where sharing it makes sense. When promoting a different release, check the URL in each scheduled post too.

What you can learn after the click

A landing page visit and an outbound platform click are different actions. Neither confirms on its own that someone listened, saved your song or followed you.

Hypothetical example / Not IRL Pages results

100 visits → 25 outbound clicks

25 ÷ 100 × 100 = 25 outbound clicks per 100 recorded visits.

That does not mean 25 unique listeners or 25 streams. One person can visit or click more than once.

Compare matching time periods and check what each tool counts. Analytics available in IRL Pages depend on your plan. To confirm streams or saves, use the music platform’s own tools. A change during a campaign does not prove that every result came from the ad.

If you have visits but few clicks

First check that the buttons work, your ad and page feature the same release, and the page looks right on mobile. Then test one change at a time. With very little data, avoid declaring a winning template or writing off a song.

Common questions

Can I start for free?

Yes. IRL Pages offers a Free plan to get started with one landing page. Check the current limits and features on the plans and pricing page. You don’t need a paid plan just to bring your music links together.

Do I need all three platforms?

No. Include the real destinations you have available. A useful page with fewer options is better than three buttons that lead to the wrong place.

Does this upload my song to Spotify or Apple Music?

No. A smart link brings destinations together. It is not a music distribution service and does not replace delivering your release to the platforms.

Can I prepare a page before release day?

IRL Pages offers countdowns and email capture on Basic and Premium. You need to configure the release date and the links that will appear at launch. This is a separate feature: a countdown is not a pre-save, and submitting an email does not automatically save the song on Spotify.

Does the link guarantee more streams?

No. It helps organize access to your release. Results also depend on your music, content, audience and what people do after leaving the page.
